Anime in the cinema. A phenomenon that could spread to the West

Amilcar Ponce de Leon

It is not surprising that more and more people are discovering the world of Anime and Manga. The product that was originally thought to be something exclusively for children has certainly shown that it is far from this idea. The themes of these genres are sometimes so complex that they have nothing to envy to Hollywood mega-productions. This, added to the decline of Western cinema and the low quality of the productions delivered by the different streaming platforms, has forced different types of fans to seek entertainment in less conventional ways. Currently in Japan, anime at the cinema is becoming more and more accepted and better seen among the Japanese population, reaching box office records, as was the case with the latest Demon Slayer film: Kimetsu no Yaiba. This phenomenon could be replicated in countries such as the United States, where it has already been seen that, at least in terms of graphic novels, Manga has strongly led the market with titles such as Chainsaw Man.
