As mentioned before, magic is the materialisation of thought through sound but thought has an intention and three types of thoughts are defined: The creator or Jinze. It is the one that encompasses the areas of invention, love and the beginning of a life or an action, in other words genesis. The thought of destruction or Kamizu. This is the thought that encompasses death, separation and the end of a path or process, i.e. the end. The thought of transition or Baranzu. The latter is the one that refers to change, evolution, adaptation and transformation. This is why each of these types of thought is associated with an intention and therefore with a type of magical effect.
Because magic is the cornerstone upon which their culture is built, those blessed with this power are considered first-class citizens and those who are not, second-class. The former have access to better education and better jobs, in order to become powerful wizards who serve their race and their University.
These magical Universities are divided into three. Zozhi, where Jinze magic is taught and which is in charge of those jobs related to all aspects of life, construction and production, whether agricultural, livestock or technological. Wari, where Kamizu magic is taught and which is the university in charge of work related to the military area, waste disposal and death. Finally, there is Sekijo University, where Baranzu magic is taught. The latter has under its control the areas of bureaucracy, judiciary, police, research, maintenance of machinery in cities and recycling.
On the other hand, those born in Tekuno without the ability to use magic must resign themselves to menial manual labour or an education far removed from anything to do with magic or technology. It is for this reason that not a few rebel against this fate and join the order of Yoretzu monks. These monks are the antithesis of the magical Universities and are said to possess the knowledge of anti-magic, although this has not yet been proven. The church of Yoretzu has declared itself to be the protector of non-magicians and intends to create a front to counter the power of the magical universities against the alleged abuses they suffer at the hands of magicians. For them the reason for these abuses by the magical community is related to the fact that the true name of their god is lost and the name Yoretzu is an interpretation meaning "The sound that gives life". On the other hand, among wizards it is believed that the real name of their god was hidden because the mere utterance of it could destroy the world or change it in unimaginable ways.
Despite these differences and unrest, Ikanata society is governed by a council composed of the three wizards who lead the three magical universities, and they make decisions without consulting or taking into consideration the opinion of the church of Yoretzu or the non-magical community.
To the techno-mages, those deprived of this ability are like an invalid younger sibling for whom they must care and whom they are obliged to help.
