"Do you think you understand everything? Do you think you know how those around you feel? If not, then you are not capable of understanding anything at all. We are one unit, one consciousness, one thought. At this moment I exist through hundreds of others around me, I’m part of the consciousness of my hive and even if I have to change this shell I will not cease to exist as long as they exist. If you are not capable of such a thing then your consciousness is just a selfish idea in the middle of nowhere but don’t despair, if you have met me it’s because my god Ubab Kudala believes that you still have a chance to learn and grow."
-Prium, breeder of llurats
Talk about the Ixyku is talk about a perfect harmony between each and every one of the beings that coexist within a community or in their case a hive. They inhabit a world called Ukuvu which is located in the Prantatu universe. They believe in communion with their environment and are believers that their god Ubab Kudala is part of the bond they share with each other and which they call "The Web". This unique bond between them allows the Ixiku to not only be in contact with each other and to know what the others are feeling but also allows them to communicate regardless of the distance in their world. The existence of this bond is one of the reasons why every decision they make is made collectively considering the common good before anything else. Unlike other hive races the Ixiku possess a semi-swarm mind. This means that half of their processing centre is linked to the network and the other half is autonomous, so they can avoid overloading the network with useless information.
As for their language, there is no "I" or "my" in their vocabulary, only "we" or "us" or "our", although they can understand the meaning of these terms when communicating with other races. Their homes are colossal city-sized creatures called Sikebhe. These peaceful beings are constantly on the move although they are extremely slow. Because of this the Ixiku must feed them although their metabolism is very slow too which considerably decreases the energy requirement they need to live. Both the Sikebhe and all their tools, weapons and vehicles are alive and aware of themselves, which allows them to link to their conscience to control or operate them. This is possible thanks to a technology called Zoegenesis, which allows the creation of life forms from basic elements.
